this happened a little over a month ago. she banged her head very hard on a sharp corner right beside her right temple. she didnt go unconcious but she had an extremely sore head the next few days then began feeling better later on. would it be normal if she is still having sharp pains occur in that area and feeling a bit out of it sometimes?
what are the chances of an otherwise healthy young girl developing some kind of brain problem because of this? What are the chances of a 16 year old girl getting brain bleeding after hitting her head on a sharp object?
She likely got a concussion from the injury and sometimes symptoms can last for weeks even months. It wouldn't be a bad idea to be checked by a medical professional since the symptoms have lasted this long. Rest really is the best remedy for concussions but since she is still having sharp pains, suggest she get medical attention just in case. What are the chances of a 16 year old girl getting brain bleeding after hitting her head on a sharp object?
yah she will be just fine. Coz you said that she did not go unconscious it means no internal bleeding. Here's are the s/s of bleeding inside the skull. Unresponsive to verbal commands, Unconscious after the accident and little by little goes to coma. But it is much better to consult a doctor and ask for a ct scan. Hope that I help.
It is possible to have a slow bleed causing problems. She needs to have medical attention. Brain bleeds can be and often are deadly, or life debilitating. The feeling a bit out of it sometimes worries me.
Anything like that should have been checked out after things didn't progress normally in the ';feeling better'' department.
Doctor time deary.
