My friend in California wants to send me a bladed weapon for my birthday because I like collecting them and he has tons of them, but since I live in Taiwan I'm not sure if it's legal, does anyone know anything about this?
He's going to send it by Air Mail.Is it legal to send a sharp object in the mail?
There would not be concerns due to shipping rules - a packaged blade is an inert piece of metal and not a hazard to transport. You may want to check local regulations as to whether the weapon is legal to own in Taiwan. Is it legal to send a sharp object in the mail?
You can send anything you want (except explosives and hazardous materials and a few other dangerous things). I mean you can send a gun cross country so why wouldn't you be able to send a blade?
Bladed weapon is considered to be lethal and it is illegal to mail them especially by air. My advise is to contact your local authority for clearance on this matter
Go to the store, any store, WalMart K-Mart etc. Ask them how they got their knives. Riiiight...they were shipped to them.
Of course he can send you a knife.
