i remember this from last year, um.. lubrication helps, also, if you tilt the hard surface at an angle it becomes a wedge or something, and less friction equals less work but more distance, something like thatHow to reduce the sliding friction of an object on a hard surface?
Place something smooth under the object, a piece of linen like a sheet or a pair of socks. How to reduce the sliding friction of an object on a hard surface?
Put wax on the surface to let it slide better.
Put some kind of lubrication between the object and the hard surface.
Different methods can be used to reduce the amount of friction between the surfaces of the objects in contact. One way to reduce friction is to apply a lubricant to the surfaces, another is to use casters, rollers, or ball bearings between the surfaces, and another is to smooth the surfaces of the objects in contact.
take it off
Change the surface. Like if you have a polished dining room table and can slide say a salt shaker across it. If you add a table cloth, increased resistance would cause less slide.
you can polish the surface, lubricate it,or use something like ball bearings if possible.
