Does an object with a higher temperature always have more thermal energy?

Why or why not?Does an object with a higher temperature always have more thermal energy?
No, you can have a large tank of water at 10潞C above ambient and it would have more thermal energy than a small piece of iron at 1000潞C

Basically, thermal energy is the specific heat of an object x it's mass x the temperature difference. So you can increase the thermal energy by making the object larger, even while you lower the temperature.
